Massage and bodywork assessment, theory, and application
Table massage winds people down. Chair massage relaxes, rejuvenates, and releases tension in the muscles, one layer at a time. Deeper tissue work, trigger point, shiatsu, Rolfing, myofascial release will be explored focusing on the head, neck, and trunk regions. Proper breathing techniques will be defined, for you to teach and utilize with every client. No supplies needed
Clinical internship
Students practice their newly acquired chair massage techniques on each other in a supervised, professional atmosphere. Emphasis is on giving as well as receiving.
Distance education:
Anatomy, physiology and kinesiology
Anatomy of the head, neck and trunk and their muscles, attachments and bony landmarks and locations will be defined within the on-line courses. No books or supplies
