The origins of the word spa itself offers clues to a very important aspect of the spa experience - water. Water is the essence of many spa services, it is the environment in which much of the healing and rejuvenation at spas take place. Body wraps, seaweed, algae, mud, herbal, milk and honey wraps as well as oatmeal, and sea salt scrubs, and therapeutic facials will be explored and defined. The benefits of all natural home remedies will be utilized and discussed.
Clinical internship
Students view spa techniques in a supervised, professional atmosphere. Emphasis is on techniques in body wraps and scrub treatments.
