Therapeutic Massage
The Therapeutic Program is for anyone who is interested in injuries of the extremities and in giving massage at a Therapeutic level. Are you feeling worn out or experiencing muscle tension? Are your friends, family and clientele looking for help for their therapeutic needs? If you answered yes to any of these questions then this course if for you.
The body stores the trauma of our lives in muscular rigidity thereby keeping us stuck in the past. When we release the tension in the body and align ourselves with gravity, we take a new stand in life. This allows us to be at ease with ourselves and in harmony in our relationship to others and the planet. Assessment of injuries for the feet, ankles, knees, hips, wrists, arms and shoulder regions.
Course descriptions
Massage and bodywork assessment, theory and application
Hands on videos include: deeper work for the extremities
How to maintain professional boundaries while responding to a client's emotional needs, client interviewing techniques, communication with other health professionals, when to refer a client out. Exploring verbal as well as non-verbal communication skills. Deep tissue , Trigger point and Myofascial release techniques for the extremities are explored.
Distance education:
Anatomy, physiology and kinesiology
The organ systems covered in further detail, include the muscular, nervous, sensory, endocrine and reproductive systems. Types of muscle contractions, muscles and their attachments are discussed in detail. Acland's video atlas of human Anatomy of the extremities will be utilized.
Externship
Each student is required to keep track of his or her at-home completed work, 500hrs in the above subjects will be accepted. Approximately 25 hours per week half bookwork outlined above and half bodywork practice completed on your friends and family. School supplies the proper forms which will need to be turned in before taking your final exam.

if you chose to follow the syllabus the
entire course is five months long (or) twenty weeks
The on-line course gives you the option to decide for yourself as to how
your progressing, and when to move on to the next segment
Total tuition $500.00
After the successful completion of the Therapeutic Program the Graduate will receive a 500hr distance training
Certificate of Completion from Trinity School of Therapeutic Massage, Licensed by the State of Michigan.
